When you’re looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with premium-grade features, the Moto G67 Power aims to hit many of the right notes. It is designed to deliver strong battery life, a capable camera system, and sharp display — all without stretching your budget. In this review I explore how well it performs, what its standout points are, and where it may compromise.
Design & Build
The Moto G67 Power offers a clean, modern look. It comes in three Pantone-curated colours (Pantone Parachute Purple, Blue Curacao, Cilantro) which gives it a bit of flair.
Build-quality is solid: expect a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with 120 Hz refresh, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. It also brings MIL-STD-810H military-grade drop protection and IP64 dust/splash resistance for added durability.
Overall, in the mid-range segment this phone feels well built and decent to hold. One catch: the size and weight may make one-handed use a little challenging for smaller hands.
Display & Performance
The 6.7-inch screen has a full HD+ (1080 × 2400) resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. That means smoother scrolling and animations compared to 60 Hz displays.
Under the hood you’ll find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (4nm), paired with 8 GB RAM (expandable via RAM Boost up to 24 GB) and storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB.
In practical use this means the phone is well equipped for daily tasks like streaming, browsing, multitasking, and even some lighter gaming. Performance feels responsive.
However: for very heavy gaming or ultra-high-graphics settings this might still fall short of flagship phones.
Battery & Charging
One of the biggest highlights: the massive 7,000 mAh battery. Motorola claims up to ~58 hours of music playback or long durations of usage on a single charge.
It supports 30W wired fast charging, which is decent in this segment.
In everyday use this means you’re likely to get well over a full day of use comfortably — perhaps even a day and a half for moderate users. That’s a strong advantage for those who dislike frequent charging.
Camera & Audio
On the camera front:
- Rear camera: 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor + 8 MP ultra-wide + a “2-in-1 Flicker” lens.
- Front camera: 32 MP selfie shooter.
Main camera supports 4K video recording according to spec sheets.
What this translates to: good versatility for photos and video in everyday lighting. The Sony sensor gives confidence, and the ultra-wide adds flexibility.
For audio, there are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Still: while camera performance is very good for the price, don’t expect flagship-level low-light photography or ultra-zoom results. Also, the “2-in-1 Flicker” lens is somewhat vague and likely not as strong as dedicated premium lenses.
Software & Features
The phone ships with Android 15 (Moto’s Hello UX) and promises one OS upgrade plus three years of security updates.
Connectivity features are full-featured for this price: 5G support (dual SIM), dual‐band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, plus all the usual sensors.
One nice touch is the vegan leather back finish option (in some colourways) which adds a premium feel.
In short: software and features feel well-rounded for the price.
Value & Pricing
Initial pricing in India is expected around ₹15,999 (8 GB + 128 GB) for the base variant.
Considering the hardware, large battery, 120 Hz display, solid camera and 5G, this is excellent value.
If you find a deal near that range, this phone offers much more than many typical budget models.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Huge 7,000 mAh battery gives excellent endurance.
- 120Hz display brings smoother user experience.
- Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 + 8GB+ storage – very capable for the price.
- 50 MP Sony main camera + good versatility.
- 5G, stereo speakers, durable build (MIL-STD + IP64).
- Strong value proposition.
Cons:
- While very good, camera performance won’t match flagship phones in all conditions (especially low light / zoom).
- 30W charging is good but slower than some high-end fast-charging phones.
- Size may be big for some users; large phones are less comfortable for one-hand use.
- Software upgrade promise is 1 OS update — some competitors may promise more.
My Verdict
If you’re shopping for a smartphone under ₹20,000 and want big battery, solid performance, 5G, and a great display — the Moto G67 Power is one of the most compelling choices right now. It strikes a very good balance between specs and price.
For typical usage – streaming, gaming moderate levels, photography, everyday tasks – it delivers well above many in its segment.
On the flip side: if you demand ultra-premium camera capabilities, ultra-fast charging, or compact size, you might want to consider stepping up in budget. But for the vast majority, this phone offers excellent value.
My recommendation: If you find it at or near the ₹15-17k range (and you’re ok with a 6.7-inch size), go for it. Just pair it with a decent case and maybe a sound-enhancing accessory if audio is important to you.
